Family of 4, 2 kids 6 & 9 yo. We plan on going to Melbourne, Great Barrier Reef (Daintree forest, Port Douglas etc) and Sydney. We are NOT theme park or resort people. We like both cities and nature, music, art, etc
We don’t want to cram too many places to visit in the trip but maybe, only 3 places may be too little with maybe not needing to spend too many days in either city or the GBR. We considered going to sunshine coast (definitely not gold coast, not our style) but it feels that maybe after 8-10 days in the GBR it won’t add too much to the trip and not worth the extra time and money.
Any suggestions for somewhere else to fit in the trip? Uluru would be nice but too much money and time, especially with the kids. We are flying into Melbourne and flying out from Sydney if that helps.
Yes, we are fully aware of the weather.
Thanks a lot in advance!
